Product Information

New Zealanders are amongst the best-travelled people in the world. Living in a remote corner of the South Pacific means that travelling anywhere is a long journey.

Elizabeth Boyce is somewhat typical of a modern New Zealander – having been born in Yorkshire, England in 1937 and growing up in various RAF quarters with her family from a young age, travel seemed to become ingrained as a theme for her life. But much more was to come . . .

After just turning 19 in 1956, she got married and soon afterwards made the long journey to New Zealand with her new husband as well as her parents who had already decided that the new world was the place for them. The story that follows is a journey of time and distance as life lead her around the world and eventually back again to New Zealand to settle.

A personal story of homecoming.
